Spruce Street Harbor Park, open now through October 1st, is Philadelphia’s hammock-filled haven along the Delaware River. The pop-up park includes over 50 colorful hammocks for lounging, waterfront games (like giant chess!), and a floating restaurant and beer garden. This urban green-space offers a variety of food and drink options, such as the popular fried chicken sandwich from Port FedNuts and a new boardwalk-style pizza joint. At night, the park illuminates with vibrant, colorful LED lighting that hangs from the treetops.
Enjoy a variety of special events held at the park throughout the spring and summer months. On Thursday nights, check out the Waterfront Sessions Live Music Series for different local bands weekly. Debuting this year is a Cinema Series held the second Sunday of every month, featuring the screening of one classic TV show followed by a classic movie. The waterfront oasis is free and open to the public every day.
